This award celebrates architectural projects that demonstrate excellence, innovation, and a strong connection to their cultural and environmental context. Anantara Zanzibar stood out for its elegant blend of contemporary luxury with authentic Zanzibari heritage, its seamless indoor-outdoor living concept, and its thoughtful use of natural materials that harmonize with the island’s landscape.
This Regional Award represents the highest honor in the African category, recognizing excellence in architectural design, innovation, and contribution to the built environment across the continent.
The recognition comes as part of the esteemed International Property Awards, where winners are evaluated by an independent panel of more than 80 global industry experts. The assessment focuses on design quality, originality, sustainability, and overall architectural impact.

The official presentation ceremony for Regional and International winners will take place on 16 January 2026 at the Savoy Hotel, Strand, London. During this gala, Infinity Developments will also compete for the overall International Award, marking another significant step for the project on the global stage.
